| 0.0 | 6.9 (2) |
Loosely resembling a heraldic shield, the new badge over the heart consists of two layers representing the partnership between the ownership, the community, the players, and the fans. The logo incorporates the Space Needle, a universally recognized Seattle landmark.
The Colors
The official team colors are Sounder Blue, representing the waters of the Puget Sound; Rave Green, representing the forests of the Pacific Northwest; and Cascade Shale, representing the Cascade Range to the east of Seattle.
The Jersey
As most adidas officially licensed team jerseys, this one is made with ClimaCool® - the advanced material engineered to reduce heat and moisture build-up, allowing increased comfort and performance, and mesh panels – to keep you feeling fresh no matter how long the big Sounders match goes on.
The Sponsor
The jerseys features the familiar XBOX 360 logo on the center chest, representing the landmark multi-year sponsorship deal between Seattle Sounders FC and Microsoft Corp. and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system worth $20 million over 5 years. Xbox 360 also will be featured as the presenting sponsor of the Sounders FC annual international tour and will gain entitlement to the team’s playing surface, "The Xbox Pitch at Qwest Field". Xbox 360 will be recognized as the official and exclusive video game console of Major League Soccer.

Soccer in Seattle
Overall, I like the shirt. heritage and history is integral to a side's success, as the fans warm to the side, and even though they are the new boys, they have made a great start by sticking with the city's traditions.

| Good points | Soccer has a new home: Seattle, and like the teams from the city, namely the defunct basketball team the Seattle SuperSonics, the Sounders have followed suit by wearing a shade of green which the fans, the Emerald City supporters and the Seattle FC Alliance, will love. |
| Bad Points | From what I have seen from the reviews is that though the shade of green is 'unique' which would duly allow the team to stand out from day one, fans would have preferred an alternative as the shirt is using the new adidas template, some fans would liked to have a different 'bolder' green. |
Superb Color
All in all, I love the Sounders' colors and just hope that Adidas uses many different modifications of their newer templates for the rest of the MLS. Should be a good year for the league, which seems to become more popular every year. This progressive shirt certainly recalls through its colors and style of how the MLS is certainly emerging as a relevant league and sport here in the 'states.

| Good points | Mainly the colors. The blend between that shade of green and blue are rarely seen in football. I'm glad to see the MLS at least trying to take on new color schemes. Adidas traditionally makes great kits, and they've been a great sponsor for american soccer since the league signed the contract with the company a few years back. At least we won't be revisiting the days when Atletica was making shirts for clubs. But the color I think is really the selling point for the shirt - I just wonder what type of short/sock scheme will be included. |
| Bad Points | The colors of the seams. I just wish Adidas could make a simple shirt. I realize that with the MLS trying to prove itself as a great, burgeoning league, Adidas will try to implement newer designs on their shirts to support that notion. But simplicity certainly always prevails over excess; I just think the seams make the shirt look a bit rigid. |
