As our Senior Material Handler at Nike Team Sports Distribution Center, you\'ll be responsible for baseline material handling functions with additional emphasis on increased technical skills, project leadership, interdepartmental coordination and data analysis. You\'ll initiate and lead projects and teams to continuously improve the operation and Key Result Areas. You\'ll gather and analyze information, prepare reports, assist management with staff schedules, and make recommendations using continuous improvement philosophy. You\'ll also communicate throughout the distribution center and thoroughly utilize systems (PKMS, Put-to-Light, AS400, access, etc.) and equipment to ensure inventory integrity, customer order fulfillment and a smooth flow of product. You\'ll facilitate the training of others on DC systems, processes and equipment and be a role model and resource to DC Associates. You\'ll continue all Material Handler accountabilities as well, such as processing customer orders and returns, leading groups of people (rotationally), maintaining product inventory, using material handling equipment and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. In addition, you\'ll have thorough technical knowledge and skills in a minimum of two DC areas. Qualifications Requirements for the position include: -High school diploma; college degree highly preferred -3+ years\' experience in an automated distribution center or related environment as a Material Handler or comparable skills -Must have some leadership experience; at least 1 year preferred -Strong knowledge of the PKMS system software and Conveyor Control System (CCS), including Receiving, Replenishment, Picking, Put-to-Light, Packing and Shipping systems -Working knowledge of forecasting and budgeting procedures, including calculations such as units per man-hour -Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications -Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills -Advanced ability to network and utilize internal and external resources -Advanced ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism -Advanced ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and requests -Ability to read and interpret difficult instructions -Excellent attention to details and deadlines -Advanced ability to exercise good judgment in setting priorities, executing instructions and follow-through -Advanced ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented and team environment -Must have the ability to work in a team environment on any shift -Ability to read and write basic English -Ability to count accurately and do simple math -Must have the ability to lift up to 35-50 lbs continuously and stand for extended periods of time -Must be willing to work overtime as needed -Knowledge of Nike Team Sports systems, processes and procedures strongly preferred To ensure that we continue to hire competent, ethical and trustworthy individuals, all candidates must successfully complete a thorough background investigation and drug screen prior to receiving any offer of employment from Nike.
