Based in the southern Adelaide coastal suburb of Glenelg, the Glenelg Football Club was formed on 20 March 1920, and entered the South Australian League in 1921. The club is known as the "Tigers" (or the "Bays"). South Adelaide were formed in 1876 and are the second oldest club in South Australia. They have won a total of 11 premierships, including the first ever South Australian premiership.
