Adam Santarossa is the "Man in the Ball" - he is living inside a 6m-high replica of the official World Cup Jabulani ball that is sitting on the banks of the Yarra River at Southbank in Melbourne.
The bizarre fixture will become the 23-year-old's home as he watches all 65 games of the FIFA World Cup over 31 days.
Santarossa was chosen after a month-long search by Adidas and football magazine FourFourTwo.
"If I wasn't in the ball I would be at home watching all the games anyway, not socialising, probably not eating very well," he said
Santarossa has to spend a minimum of 22 hours a day in the ball, only been allowed out for toilet breaks, food and a bit of excercise.
The giant Jabulani, weighs in at two tonnes, is 6m high and 6m wide, a scale of 30:1 over the actual Jabulani.
