Sy's Experiments and Kit Crap 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 1
Heyo, all! The name's Sy! I'm from Colours-of-Football, and I enjoy making kits. My kits come in MS Paint format, and you might like them, you might not, but, hey, don't be too shy to drop a line on how you're liking (or disliking) my stuff; a lil' C&C ain't hurt nobody! So, to begin, I'll start with my most recent stuff; a little "project" I'm conducting on the USA's Men National Team!

(EDIT)Put in some more on the bar on the home kit:

Yeah all your designs are really good. Do they already look like that or is uploading them as png compressing them too much? The designs are great but the blockiness lets them down.

Are they all in the gallery too or was there a problem with png's or something?

Whenever I place the kits on the forum, they get compressed as well. I don't think I can place them in the gallery, neither, since .png doesn't seem to be the way to go here.....

I love the Cosmos kit.
I would absolutely use that for my team kit (for my U7 youth team)

Ah, I was about to say, I'd recommend you try these ones; They each have a different collar, and they're straight-forward!

The away has a nameplate and numbers because that one was used in a contest the other day. C&C is most deffo welcome!

Heres my attempt at the eaked Manchester United home kit. I have left the sponser as AIG because I don't know who the new one will be. I used a picture off historical football kits and edited it.

Head straight to colours-of-football.com, and use one of the kits there, if you want to know how to get logos and stuff. I'm flattered by what you've done so far, you just need some more experience at it. Adidas' famous three stripes are simple; all you have to do is mimic the outline on the kit.

Hmm, I would suggest that you would have to start from scratch, and cover over the logos, like a copy-paste sorta job. It would be better off that you would work like that, instead of adding on stuff to something that's already done.

The international kits can be found here, though they're the kits used in World Cup 2006:
www.soccerphile.com/soccerphile/wc2006/groups/index.html

Oh yeah, almost forgot, LOL! These are the home kits for the Euro 2008 tourney: www.soccerphile.com/soccerphile/euro2008...ups-teams/index.html

The template that was used for the Poland kit is here:

(Of course, different collar.)

Two more things:
1. When you're done, save your stuff as a .png file. Never forget that, they look better that way.

2. I think it's time for you to make your own thread, LOL! Try expermenting with curves and shapes, and try to look at other kits as a design inspiration, too.

I'm back at DF, to show my most recent finished kit, for a created team league at COF, my Newark Industrials home kit, including alternate white shorts!

And also, a WIP, my Racing Club de France set, though you can only see the home kit as a WIP so far, and it's with a twist; Ligue 1 stuff!

I'll try my best for that Sevilla contest!

The Newark one is pretty nice, like the detailing on the captain's armband and the overall design is pretty innovative too.

You already know I have a soft spot for RCdP and this kit is shaping up very positively. Allez les Pingouins!

Ah, and I'm back again. I'm still working on the RCF kits, but I'm currently caught in a conundrum....."Should I stay classy and old-school, or go modern? Or Hell, do both versions?"

After that, I'll be focusing straight on my MLS re-design project from a couple of months ago.

Team/Tech supplier/Sponsor

Chicago Fire/PUMA/Best Buy THROWBACK THIRD INFLUENCED BY 2005 PUMA THIRD
Club Deportivo Chivas USA/Reebok/Comex
Colorado Rapids/Kappa/None/Dick's Sporting Goods (Undecided) THROWBACK THIRD; USING PREVIOUS COLOR SCHEME AND LOGO
Columbus Crew/adidas/Glidden Paints
FC Dallas/Nike/Radioshack THROWBACK THIRD AS DALLAS BURN
DC United/adidas/Volkswagen
Houston Dynamo/adidas/Amigo Energy
Kansas City Wizards/adidas/Undecided THROWBACK THIRD AS KANSAS CITY WIZ
LA Galaxy/adidas/Herbalife THROWBACK THIRD; PREVIOUS COLOR SCHEME
New York Red Bulls/adidas/Red Bull THROWBACK THIRD AS NY/NJ METROSTARS
Real Salt Lake/Under Armour/XanGo
New England Revolution/Umbro/Samuel Adams
San Jose Earthquakes/Nike/Amway Global THROWBACK THIRD AS SAN JOSE CLASH
Seattle Sounders FC/Nike/XBox Live/Xbox 360/Starbucks Coffee THROWBACK THIRD AS NASL'S SOUNDERS
Toronto FC/adidas/BMO

Total so far: 15

Added teams:
New York Cosmos/PUMA/None
Philadelphia Union/Reebok/Comcast
Portland Timbers/Nike/Toyota
Vancouver Whitecaps/Umbro/Air Canada
Tampa Bay Mutiny/Kappa/Undecided

Give me a shout if you'd want me to make any changes to the upcoming project!

Well if we're having votes I'd go for modern, be nice to see modern versions of Tampa and Cosmos kits.

As for changes all looks pretty much how I'd do it. The only thing that shouts to me as being a little weird is Dallas as manufactured by Nike, I know the Burn had it, but just strikes me as being not right. I must just be too used to FC Dallas being Adidas by now though.

Although the rest look fine, I'm just a bit weird like that.
