FC Barcelona unveiled the new 09/10 football kit made by Nike. The new FC Barcelona football kit will be worn for the first time this Saturday. The design for the first choice strip goes back to the traditional navy blue and claret vertical stripes while the second strip is a bright mango colour.
The first choice shirt recovers the traditional navy blue and claret vertical stripes but now edged with a thin yellow line and has a V-neck and sleeve borders with a subtle black and yellow stripe. At the back of the neck we find the Senyera, the Catalan flag.
A label is sewn on the inside of the neck with “Més que un club” (More than a club) and attached to the side stitching another small label with the name of the club.
The shirt is made of Nike Dri-Fit material, which is designed to absorb sweat enabling the player to feel dry and fresh for longer. Its three-dimensional architecture allows a greater circulation of air around the skin which prevents the shirt sticking.
The official shorts are a classic navy blue with a claret stripe down the side and incorporate the Senyera (Catalan flag) on the back of the waistband. The cords have the stripes of the Catalan flag and the socks have horizontal claret and blue stripes, a yellow edging and have the word “Barça” stamped on the calf.
The new second choice kit retains the details that distinguish the first choice kit. The shirt is a bright mango colour (evoking the Mediterranean Sea) with a round neck and blue edgings. The blue shorts have a mango-coloured stripe down the side and socks in the same colour with a blue border and “Barça” stamped on the calf.

A return to stripes is an extremely good move and the extra outline of the stripes is a nice touch too, not forgetting the sleeve stripes which aren't a usual addition to Barca shirts but do look good when added. The goalkeeper kit has an original look too with pinstriped 'blaugrana' across the front on a black background. |
| Bad Points | The salmon and dark blue colour scheme of the away kit is certainly original but I for one think it really lets it down. Seeing the early pictures where it looked like a bright orange I thought it was good but in the shops I quickly changed my mind. |

Great Home, Not So Good Away
the stars i gave were for home kits only, if i combined them, it would not be fair to the great home kits, because the away ones would bring the rating down a lot.

| Good points | great home kit, honestly, anything would have been better than last year's shirt, but this year's home kit is simple, yet it looks great, i hope they don't make it worse for next year |
| Bad Points | terrible away kit, last year's yellow was very good, also the blue from before was pretty good, and the orange was nice, and the green was very different, yet still looked good. unfortunately, the same cannot be said for these away kits of last year; they are original, however, not so much in a good way. these are the worst away kits in a while, too bad they weren't used last year, then we could have used up 2 bad kits at once, however, it was a good year, so i won't complain if they repeat this year while wearing salmon/pink/orangey colour kits |
barca kits
both original kits and both look good.

| Good points | i like how the home kit goes back to the stripes. i hated their home kit last year. |
| Bad Points | i didn't like the color of the away kit at first, but it has grown on me. |
Welcome Back Tradition
The entire set of kits would've been great if it weren't for the away kit.

It's good to see the return of the traditional striped Barça kit. Nike designed a great traditional kit with some great detail. The outline on the stripes and the yellow trim on the collar ans the end of the sleeves are nicely done. Also, the simplicity of this kit makes it a winner, sometimes Nike overdoes it a bit with the simplicity but this kit came out really well. |

I really don't like the looks of that away kit. The color is original, but that doesn't make it look better. This is what I was talking about at the 'Good Points': Nike's simplicity actually damaged the shirt. Too bad Nike, hope you'll vreate a better away kit next season |
