I'm going with the Benfica logo because I think it's probably the most iconic out of the five meaning it's probably the biggest risk to redesign but I think Aco has done it great justice giving a modern look but reprising the characteristics that make it look like a Benfica logo.

The Benfica logo looks really nice, but it did not need a redesign, and leaving out the wheel (which represented one of the two clubs that merged to form Benfica) was a huge mistake), and it looks like a club crest for a Polish club more than one for Benfica. The Wimbledon one is basically the same as the old 1980s logo except with the clubs new name on it, and I like the tampere and the Lazio crests, but Steevo is the one I prefer, and the only one that is superior to the current crest.

I agree, Spider. I like the AFC Wimbledon crest and think it's deserving of its place in the final five for the principle and the beautiful rendering but it is slightly limited in terms of originality.
The Benfica and Lazio crests are nice but just come across slightly too much as corporate logos for me. As you say, the originals were great so tricky ones to reinvent.
I like the Tampere United style and think it would work well on a shirt but my favourite is Steevo's as it's very original whilst also being immediately recognisable as Bolton.
It's worth pointing out that Steevo has included his own designed crest along with the traditional existing crest at the bottom right to show it face on, rather than it being something that already exists and he has simply tweaked (in case anyone was confused).

For me this was a real tough call between B and C. The Benfica crest really appeals to me, as I love it when fairly complex and traditional crests (which I'd classify the current Benfica crest as) are stripped down to their core features. Aco's done a brilliant job in creating an uncluttered, simple crest that still manages to incorporate as much original detail as possible (e.g, the crest border in the Portuguese colours). The absence of the wheel may be controversial, but then again, any changes to such a longstanding crest would be. Again, Aco took on a lofty challenge with a Benfica crest and did a superb job.
All that said, I have to give it to Steevo's Bolton crest. As much as like old crests getting a modern overhaul, I'm still a sucker for the traditional side. Anything that ties the club and town together as always going to win me over. The Lancaster rose, the Elephant & Castle of the original town crest, plus the distinct BWFC ball...the whole thing screams Bolton. Tradition aside, it's a beautifully balanced, concise crest that is both intricate yet minimal (only two colours in the whole thing).

I think all the designs here in the final are worthy finalist.
Personally I like ACO bold attempt to do a new Benfica crest and I do not agree on that present crest is good enough or is not in need of redesign, with bicycle wheel or wit out it.
The Wimbledon crest is good and in my opinion far better than present crest, the colour of the crest is maybe something that one might conceder in other way to fit the club better, but the overall design is really good.
The Tampare United crest is more in line with the Scandinavian club crest design then the present crest, the only thing I would have liked to see different in that crest is if the T where to be broken away from the U, I thank it would have looked better that way.
The Lazio crest is also good but somehow I think it would have been better to se white between the wings of the eagle all the way instead of seeing the crest behind.
The Bolton Wanderers crest by Steevo is in my opinion one of the best crest design I have seen on DF so far, he hits it spot on wit this design of his and there is only to granulate him for magnificent work, I therefore give him gladly my vote here. well dune Steevo.

I think this five crests are the best ones in the competition so far.
Lazio's is unrecognizable for me without the gold eagle; the crest is well done but choosing Lazio was a mistake.
Tampere United's seems like a company logo, too simple, althought it's a good idea.
Benfica's crest is incredible, but it seems older than the current one.
Wimbledon's current crest is one of the most characteristic ones in English football, and I don't see any real improvement in the new crest, just a (good) makeover.
Bolton's is the best in my opinion. Colours are perfectly balanced and it absolutely preserves the image of the club. Bolton crest is the one which really needed an update, and it's very well executed.
Sorry for my English and congratulations to the five designers
I'm gonna go with A as I think it gives the AFC Wimbledon badge a cleaner look, though think I'd prefer it with a lighter blue.

Which means that Steevo and his Bolton Wanderers crest are the winners of the crest redesign competition, very well done.
Thanks to everyone for taking part from myself and Rabbi.
Thanks to everyone that voted. Good competition from rabbi, just a shame that only there were only 7 people that voted from 1256 views.
