Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, presented the Official Emblem and the Official Match Ball for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009 at a ceremony held today in Dubai.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum was handed the Official Match Ball, produced by FIFA Partner adidas, while the Official Emblem was shown on a giant screen during a spectacular 3-D presentation.

The event will be held at the Jumeirah beach area next to the Umm Suqueim Park from November 16-22.

Tahlak, who is also tournament director for the annual Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships and a member of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), said the focus of the organisers is to showcase the UAE and its unique culture to the whole world.

"Last year we had 64 teams and this year 104 teams have been registered for this competition," Tahlak said.

"We want to develop this sport and ensure the UAE team comes out with flying colours when the competition is held here in November," he said.

Not really much to say about it other than it just looks like a default logo that FIFA use for most of their competitions.

Little more than a remix of the 2008 logo, really. Although the 2008 logo was all right so I'm not necessarily complaining.
