New ŁKS Łódź Crest

This the new club crest for Polish First Division side ŁKS Łódź or Łódzki Klub Sportowy to give their true Polish name.

ŁKS despite being in the second flight of Polish football were league champions as recently as 1998 and before that in 1958.

The new crest bears quite a contrast from their previous logo which was oval shaped with the letters ŁKS intertwined. This, togehter with the font gave it a thouroughly eastern European look about it.

The look now is much more that of a team from western Europe. The logo has quite a plain look being in a shield shape with an inner border in red and a red stripe down the centre with the club name 'ŁKS' and foundation date just above that.

A clever trick that this logo doesn't give away to the eye straight away is hidden in the simplistic nature of it. ŁKS traditionally play in white shirts, red shorts and white socks, now when you look at the logo again you'll notice the which ever way you see the logo it is always white-red-white just like the team's traditional kit.
