For anyone who uses Photoshop to create kit designs, th32 made a small tutorial which shows a quick and easy way to create background patterns and watermarking on your shirts. The first thing is to place a watermark over the entire shirt. Just open a standard template and put in the image you want over it. Insert the image layer wherever’s best for you as long as it is behind the collar. For example, below I’ve put it behind the stitching and logos as well.
Now choose any of the selection tools (marquee, lasso or quick selection). Firstly, hold Ctrl and click on the layer image of the shirt “shape”. Then right click on the image itself and choose ‘select inverse’. Now everything outside the shirt should be selected. Choose the layer you will make the watermark from and press delete. The shirt will most likely look like this if you also use the Norwegian flag:
Now all you have to do is change the layer opacity to anything you want.
