Hello!! 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 7
I'll kick this off then!

I'll also keep it brief as I am sure some will already know a bit about me and seen my design work with kits around here and over at FSC. I also have a small blog at kitstrikotcamisasmaillot.blogspot.com/ where I try to give detailed explanations to my creations.

More about me, my name is Paul, I'm 20 years old and live in the north-west of England.

That's all I have to say really, I'll probably see you around!

haha yeah I realise that or I think they would be done with ASCII art if it was from the 80's!

Just meant that you have been designing kits for a very long time and you've not lost your desire to do it. Very commendable.

Re:Hello!! 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 2
first when i discover my passion for football kits was when i got a Kicker Magazine, and there was a couple of sets (shirt, short and socks) from german teams. it was time when hamburg play with BP on they chest, Bayern with Commodore, Monchengladbach with Erdgas. i will never forgot those kits. since then i draw kits. i don't know theyr number. if i not lost my desire for kits? yes there are periods when i'm not interested at all (weeks, even months) but when it returns i draw days late in the night like a mad. i hope it will last for ever...

Aaaah days when I was not even born hehe

Your story sounds a bit like mine, but I was drawn into it more from making kits for the FIFA video games. From then on every football match I watched I was always focusing more on the logos and the seams of the shirt than the games themselves, that has changed now though I am no longer that sad

I lost my desire regularly until I found the fantasy kit forum of FSC and then I suddenly rediscovered my need to design and make stuff!

Guilty admission here, but did you ever just go into sports stores just to look at the shirts rather than buy anything? I did!

i remember you from fifa forums, some years ago. i downloaded many kits (for fifa), but not to use them in the game, just to watch and compare them.

That's quite some coincidence there!

Well ok maybe not, the kit designing world is quite a small one

I wish all my kits were still uploaded on the net just to remember how bad they were only a few remain though on the SoccerGaming FIFA kit forums though.

Hi I'm 36, I'm an architect from mexico city and I just posted my first kit on the site hope you like it.
And as our friend from rumaia I've been designing kits since high school, I used to play a game with one friend in chemistry class (hate chemistry !!!!) wich consisted in two bags that served us as bowls (we couldn't take out a bowl in the middle of chemistry class !!!)as in a draw, we wrote the names of teams and brands and put them in the bags, then we each took one team name and one brand name, what ever came out we had to design a kit as fast as we could ! and then we comented on each others designs, come to think of it it was kind of nerdy !! but it sure was better than chemistry !!!!

Welcome to both of you!

Both architects so I bet your technical drawing skills are very good!

I have also been an avid viewer of your kit blog from quite a while too Alejandro, even if I don't understand a lot of the words, the pictures are still very pretty

Jospep4, that is quite sad and nerdy but I can't speak too much really, I used to watch football games and take notes on the kits and sponsor logos so I could remake them later on, which I suppose is even worse! hehe
