Generic Description:
Merseyside is one of the 48 Counties of England; its main district is Liverpool. The crest contains the elements of the County's flag and coat of arms used between 1974 and 1986: three white waves on a blue background (which represent river Mersey) and six mural crowns symbolising the six districts that form the county. The Home kit is blue with a waves sash, dark blue sleeves and yellow details. The away kit inverts the colour scheme and also features a pattern with the symbol found in the flag.
