@N7even my understanding is that there have been issues with people cheating in the voting (voting multiple times, voting for themselves with different accounts, etc.) I don't understand why people would do that. we do this for fun, there's no cash prize or anything, but it's happened. That seems to be why voting isn't accessible to visitors- to be able to keep track of stuff like that. 

@OTHYcreative also voting to each other within a closed group of users is an issue, if that is recurrent, 7 years on can be considered recurrent?
