Description
Man, oh brother, that was a tough one. First off, Braga's current crest is somewhat of a mess. It's really cluttered, there are different styles and elements all over the place, it looks quite old - but not as in vintage, as in derelict. Braga (both city and club) take great pride in their symbol of Mother Mary and Baby Jesus, saying it's their lucky charm. Well, unfortunately, that many strokes of a brush seem rather exuberant for a simple football crest. As such, I've decided to reduce the Mother Mary symbolism to her crocier, the yellow stick, ball and cross right in the centre of the crest (although someone more familiar with Christian symbolism could enlighten me as to what that thing is actually called). It, in addition to the two towers and blue shields, keeps the familiar and lucky elements alive in a new, modern, clear cut design. Feedback much appreciated! As always, transparent file in the comments.

I like it, but it would of been nicer if you tried and place both towers inside the crest; maybe the same with the cross place it in the inside, making it shorter, but it will still look unique with the cross on the outside.

It looks nice, and I get the towers popping out make it unique, if you center them between the crest and outside it might of looked good too.

    Good Luck

@Adam Said Thanks so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it!

Yeah, as I said, I really struggeld with this one, and I actually concur with many of your points. I deliberately placed the towers outside because I wanted to make space for the centerpiece and I thought it would pop, but as you said, it might just be better if they were on the inside. As far as the cross is concerned, I'll go along that I could've placed it within the crest, but I really love when traditional crests (i.e. coat of arms-style crests) have a significant ornament on top that really sticks out.

I'd call it work in progress. ;-)

@john_eoti Still looks great, just the fact that you put thought and time into it makes it that much better.

I mean not everything will turn out how you planned it to be, but I always enjoy something different and you did that.

    Keep up the great work.
