- Generic Description: Kit and crest concepts for the African team. In 2010, Puma released a kit called "Africa Unity" for its 12 African national teams which glorified the continent's nature using a gradient of light blue and brown to represent the union between the continent's soil and sky. I wanted to follow a similar route without plagiarising Puma's effort, so I decided to retain the light blue, which in this case symbolises both the sky and the ocean, and to represent the African soil using green and gold, symbolising forests and the desert respectively. These three colours are reunited on the kit in form of a hoop on a black background, which features a pattern inspired by tribal art.
