- Generic Description: The shirt is inspired in part by a home shirt worn in the 1980s that featured an Ajax-style vertical stripe instead of their usual horizontal stripe. Motherwell X Gucci is obviously not the most likely of collaborations, but the classic houndstooth pattern that features on the shirt originated in Scotland and is still used by many fashion brands today, Gucci included.
