Generic Description:
The jersey pays homage to the uniforms of the 1922-23 and 1923-24 seasons, seasons in which “Il Grifone” won its last two Italian championships, using the round neck collar with laces.
The tone-on-tone, chequered pattern is composed of four elements: the flag of St. George (the municipal flag, also present on the back of the collar), the Griffon (the team's symbol), the year 1893 (the year the club was founded) and the name of the city in the Ligurian language, the local language still widely used by the inhabitants of the Lanterna city, “Zêna”.
