The current version of Športno društvo Nogometni klub (NK) Olimpija Ljubljana might not be very old - founded in 2005 - but they’re officially top dogs in Slovenia, as current PrvaLiga champions.
We say top dogs, but as Olimpija’s Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) stage showed, they’re dragons. Most certainly dragons.
In fact, most of the entries also included a reference to Ljubljana Castle, with B3BAN and illuminaqi, and bronze and silver medalists respectively Narci and AdilAmalik, putting together some lovely club badges.
But it was GHXST who came out on top once all the votes had been counted, and that entry didn’t even need any crenelation shenanigans to secure victory. What it does have, however, is a ball that’s seemingly influenced by both the adidas Telstar and the adidas Tango. The fullest buckminsterfullerene we’ve seen.
