Kit Design Tutorial for BeginnersHere

Club Deportivo Marathón, the San Pedro Sula-based Honduran Liga Nacional side, were the focus for the 385th stage of the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW).

Their badge, it could be said, looks a little like the old Mexican national team’s emblem, and Rabbi seemed to have leant into that with an impactful tweaking of the look.

jpcrest_ and Tombot stripped things back a little, but kept a measured amount of detail - the latter’s talons around the banner a wonderful touch - while Corinth based it all around a monogram.

When it came to the podium, decided by DF democracy, OTHYcreative’s bronze owed to things being stripped back a lot, Aegon’s silver to Aegon doing Aegon things - mwah - and the winning design, from Utskiboo, is a lovely circular affair undeniably worthy of gold.

Marathón could do a lot worse than adopting any one of that top three, and they’d certainly not be ridiculed carrying any entry on their shirts. That’s how CRCW goes.

top design, what's not to like with the oversized shield, the simplified sponsors logo and the overlays.
