We treat every Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge stage on the site as one of our children, all equal in our eyes.
But some, of course, are more equal than others. The Türkiye national team edition of the contest was particularly fantastic, with spectacular entries being uploaded from beginning to end.
We’ll list a few, but note that said list is certainly non-exhaustive. The voting page is a must-look, and we recommend hunting down the stage’s individual pages to browse the efforts more closely.
kunto’s submission might give off warmup/pre-match/training vibes but what a warmup/pre-match/training shirt it’d be! And so many entries saw focus on patterning - like AdilAmalik’s, with tonal halves, cukun’s (drool emoji) and NSGraphics’ reversible number - while StJohnny and giannakakis did clever things with the iconic white band too.
As is the wont of the Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu (Turkish Football Federation/TFF), the international side’s first-choice shirt often switches between red and white. Red was most popular here, and so it was that Sithuralom’s beautiful Nike-branded winning design - with gorgeous patterning based on Kapadokya balloons - came out on top.
