Kit Design Tutorial for BeginnersHere

Dynamo Dresden, at the time of the 253rd stage of our Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge, were fighting for their lives in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga.

It was a fight they ultimately lost - they’re now struggling in the 3. Liga - so the array of bespoke concept shirts DF members provided for them must have provoked some bittersweet emotion amongst the fanbase.

Such dedication to outfitting is generally the preserve of top-flight sides, albeit 11teamsports do some admirable work elsewhere, so whilst it may have been flattering to be the subject of the stage, it will have been a reminder of Dynamo’s current standing.

Of course, only a small percentage of the said fanbase will have noticed the array of designs, and, for those, the good will have outweighed the bad. The likes of santiagoalies’s patterned creation, Dan808’s entry - which brought to mind an iconic Borussia Dortmund design from 1993 (also revisited by Classic Football Shirts in recent times) - and the winning submission from ONI will have generally cheered.

A custom jacquard, traditionally, has been a sign that a club has really made it, and it was probably a major factor in ONI’s victory via the voting.

Cool design, sorry to be that person though, but AC Milan would never have the Italianate version of the city name written on their shirt.
