The 262nd stage of the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge was focused on Ecuadorian giants Club Sport Emelec and resulted in Sithuralom’s second successive win.
Whilst it was a comfortable victory, several other entrants can take pride in their totals in the voting, as the audience sat back and enjoyed the array of fantastic ideas.
Emelec like a star (or 24) and they certainly like a sash - generally the less common way but they’ve been known to flip it - and they certainly got both from the DF members.
alfredhiphop gave us a starry little number that suggested the 1970s, while GraphiX SG’s Kappa-branded entry combines stars with a sash for a busier approach.
Football_fan_04 did something clever with the sash, as did ONI, incorporating a lightning bolt motif - watch this space for similar in a KOTW stage yet to come - and the “Los Eléctricos” nickname inspiring that also led to Skyebaggie’s lightbulb-laden creation.
Saintetixx delivered some real class with a less-is-more design boasting an expertly deployed palette but, also with the assistance of adidas’s characteristics, it was Sithuralom’s lighthouse-centric work of art that came out on top, also bringing to mind a couple of very stylish Nike Argentina rugby shirts from years gone by.
