The San Marino national team have a lot of love around Europe as a plucky underdog, and their gorgeous sky-blue look helps too.
Owing to all that, a stage in the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge made sense, so it happened.
It happened, and it impressed. There were plenty of wonderful designs - too many to go through all in detail - but the podium that emerged once the votes were counted was a pleasure to witness.
Qds, for the bronze medal, revisited something the Federazione Sammarinese Giuoco Calcio (FSGC/San Marino Football Federation) representative side have worn recently, but went full-contrast - Uefa regs be damned - HiK4L’s contrast-pattern look would turn heads and secured silver, and raffe took inspiration from the current crest for a tonal pattern and that resulted in another victory.
They might not win matches too often but San Marino win hearts, and they might win a few more if they chose to go with a DF concept design…
