American USL Championship side Oakland Roots Sports Club (SC) were the fantasy client for the 369th stage of the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge.
Once it was done, it was the supremely talented fayed who had come out on top, with a beautiful design that saw the black base combined expertly with the Roots’ trademark colours and even featured an exclusion zone around the crest - something not seen often enough IRL.
That wasn’t the full story - the winning design never is in KOTW stages, such is the skill of DF members - and the voting page delivers huge riches, with democracy decreeing the best of them, beyond fayed’s brilliance, came from Oakleighman and Duksfc, who secured figurative bronze medals, and ONI, who was rewarded with silver.
Oakland Roots already have spectacular shirts, but that doesn’t mean the concepts our site has to offer are without value - far from it.
