The 370th stage of the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge was dedicated to Cardiff City Football Club (FC) and their 125th birthday.
Founded in 1899, like so many notable clubs, the 2024 calendar being deployed signified a landmark anniversary and it’s one we chose to mark here on DF.
From there, the members took over. rozzimos’s South Wales Echo-centred offering was one approach, with Qds incorporating an angular “125” into background striping for another.
The podium was, according to the site democracy at least, even more impressive. ONI expertly dipped into the past, as did akhenaton87, taking a colour scheme from days of yore into the future, and, winning the special stage, raffe kept things timeless - at first glance, certainly - with referencing embellishment minimal and largely non-contrast.
The Welsh side could do very much worse in their celebrations.
