The end of 2021 provided a host of challenging, big team Kit of the Week stages, but KOTW 226 delivered something that very rarely happens: joint winners!

The Ugandan Premier League side Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club - KCCA FC for short - were the muse, with two designs employing the branding of Nike coming out on top.

As DesignFootball.com enters the 15th year of its existence - yeah, we were shocked too - the site is still being propelled by the talent herein.

Closing back on 14th November 2021, the stage of the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly focussed on Singaporean side Lion City Sailors FC (278) was eventually won, thanks to our own particular brand of democracy, by site royalty Rabbi.

The result of the 225th stage of the Kit of the Week challenge (KOTW 225) is one of the least surprising we’ve had in some time.

While the voting was far from unanimous, and there were several sublime entries, Sithuralom’s shirt design for Brazilian side Sampaio Corrêa is a masterpiece, and they’re truly deserving of their victory.

Democracy has decided the winner of another Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) stage. This week it was 277, dedicated to Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) Premiership side Crusaders FC.

Honestly, the existing crest and a few of the entries could be mistaken for part of the masthead on the Daily (and Sunday) Express, but one can only work with an identity and not change it entirely.

Paris FC are often the forgotten men, and women, of the French capital. All the column inches seem to go the way of Paris Saint-Germain and Red Star, with PFC barely appearing on most’s radar.

Not here at DF, particularly in our challenges. Previously featuring in our Crest Redesign Competition Weekly, Paris FC have now done the double by becoming the subject of a Kit of the Week (KOTW) stage too.

DF’s members haven’t been overawed by their crest-designing tasks in recent weeks, embracing the brief to supply, in theory if not practice, both the DFB and giants of Argentine football Club Atlético River Plate.

That said, plenty of the entries for the 276th Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) stage clearly came from a thinking that the iconic current crest is too appropriate to abandon.
