The club name Miami Coral comes from obviously the City-of-Miami firstly and then the famous Coral Castle that is located in the city, it is also too a reference to the city's clear waters and coral reefs off the shore of the city. This name is a one that fits in with the other similar named teams from around the USA & Canada such as Portland Timbers and the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Crest Shape is a one which no other MLS team has, so this makes the club stand out over its league opponents and helps the club to be able to market itself and become instantly recognizable. It is a simple shape that is very modern and should not get outdated with time. The colours chosen are those of what Miami is usually famed for, the vibrant pink that I have used and that I have dulled down slightly is the clubs main colour but as on the logo it only appears as you can see behind the city skyline, this is to represent the sun-setting over the city in one of many things it is famed for and where the colour originally comes from, the pink is also found on the outer edges of the crest, on the football and on the underbelly of the dolphin along with the club name. The blue colour is used to represent the ocean and the sea life of Miami of which is another thing of what it is famed for, this appears over the majority of the crest along with on the football as well. Then lastly we have the very dark grey colour, this can be seen on the dolphin and the city skyline. This colour I have used to represent the modern and bold life of the City-of-Miami. Each section of the club crest also has meaning behind it too, for example the dolphin on the crest is there to represent the sea life and the many dolphins in and around Miami as this is what it is mainly famed for. You need only have to look at the city's NFL team to see that they play a big part in culture and life there. The football quite obviously represents the sport that connects the club and the sport together and lastly the skyline of the city is there to again represent the whole of Miami and where the club is from as it represents 'home' to the supporters of the team. As you will also see the with skyline it also shows a large wave of where the blue and dark grey meet, this represents the ocean and more specifically an ocean wave as once again it is something very much related to Miami. The club sponsor is Royal Caribbean as they are the biggest company that operate out of the city and are likely to have the funds to put up sponsorship money with the club and the kit manufacture is obviously Adidas as they create all the kits for all MLS teams.
