In the circular badge there's a toned down teal lower-case "M", which is related to the population of German-Americans that live in the city, which is the biggest in the country. The colour is also a call-back to the aforementioned People's Flag. as well as the official flag of the city. The wheat are a nod to their history as "The Beer Capital of the World", alongside the gold colour.
