This is a pretty good redesign, the White background will make the badge stand out better on a shirt, and I like the shade of gold you have used. Not sure about Manchester United football club as opposed to Manchester United though

Why not have the "Football Club" back on it, the way it used to be? That is what United are supposed to be, isn't it?

Thanks for the comments though. As I understand it, this site is primarily for sharing and discussing design. There are plenty of other football sites where people can rate their least favourite team 0 points or make "manu sux, LOLZ" type comments. Apparently there are a few people on here who cannot be objective when it comes to anything related to Manchester United.

I find it hard to be objective to that team, but I don't vote indiscriminately like that, I always post a reason if I do vote. Partly why I rarely comment on designs for this team.

For your design the gold looks a lot classier than the yellow that is used now and has no relation to anything the clubs done except the Manchester coat of arms.

It'-) be interesting to see how it looks without all the glows and effects as that can't really be reproduced on merchandise and I think one of the main reasons the current logo is the way it is.

Thanks for the comments - good point re the photoshop "polishing". I'll have to try that myself - simplifying it and seeing how it looks then.

I know you are not a United fan, but I feel similarly about Liverpool for example, and it doesn't stop me appraising other peoples shirt designs or appreciating their (or any other club's) unique heritage. I can seperate that from my feelings about some of their players and supporters! By the way, if any club needs a new crest design it's them - surprised not to see any on here.

By the way, there are load of United supporters like myself who are enjoying (if that's the word) a love-hate relationship with the club currently. Loving the players and manager, hating the owners and powers that be who do not care about the supporters and traditions of the club and trample all over it's loyal, local community fanbase. In fact, I bet Liverpool supporters know exactly how we feel.
