Aston Villa - mix between latest rebranding and past badges

As you guys maybe know, Aston Villa changed their crest. While being criticized for the cost, the project does have some nice adjustments to the brand. However, to me it fails to fix a major problem of the current crest that is the bland sky-blue background. To me, Aston Villa had better crests in the past, although it could be better designed.
So, what I did is: took the engraving lion - which is the strongest piece of the new branding - and mixed with past crest designs, one used in the 80's and before and the other used in the 90's with the colors of the current one. Just to show a little bit to Aston Villa fans what could've been their crest.
