There's been a lot of debate over recent years as to whether Manchester City and United should remove the ships from their crests. Some say the ship is a link to the shipment of slaves to the UK and America, while some people argue much more than just slaves were shipped on the Manchester ship canal and that the ships are just representing Manchester's industrial past.
I can see both sides of the argument, but I wanted to try making both crests with no ships present, to see if the ships could be removed while still keeping the spirit of the clubs.
In this badge the symbol of the ship has been replaced with a blue moon, from the song of the sam name that plays before every Manchester City match.
