- Generic Description: Here is my entry for the round of 16 match-up in the WC competition. I have created a concept design for Portugal's home kit by Nike. I went with the all Dark Red kit being used in recent years. Given the recent modern designs by Nike for Portugal, I went with a more classic approach to the kit. I returned the Green and White combination through the jersey, specifically in the collar, which is one of the main focal points in the design. I designed a simple jersey with burgundy piping that when seen from the profile amounts into a cross. I added a new feature on the sleeve cuffs as well. I created a military strap with the green and white accent colors used in the collar to give the kit some fluidity. Finally, I stuck with my gut and went with a monochromatic white crest with the "coat in arms" watermark behind it to create a nostalgic effect of Portugal's history on what has been, what is now and what will be. Also, the white monochromatic design gives the crest a much needed focal point to the kit. I have notices that the crest sometimes blends with the designs and color of the kit so I decided to change that a bit. Hope you all enjoy, all feedback is welcome and good luck to everyone.
