Generic Description: With the Nigeria Football Federation confirming a new adidas partnership that will bring the countryโs 11-year Nike era to an end, this concept imagines what a new chapter for the Super Eagles could look like through a much more retro lens. The reported deal is worth around $8.5m per year in cash, kits and equipment, with additional merchandise royalties โ positioning the switch as a major commercial reset for Nigerian football.
For the shirt, I wanted to bring back the character of classic Nigeria kits without simply recreating one. A clean white base leaves space for layered green graphics to frame the body, while the shoulders, sleeves and side panels carry a denser geometric language inspired by Nigerian visual and textile traditions.
The polo collar, patterned trim and Three Stripes treatment deliberately lean into 1990s adidas football design, while the central NAIJA wordmark and eagle keep the identity unmistakably Nigerian. The idea was to balance archive sportswear, national identity and a modern concept-kit silhouette rather than make another generic green-and-white shirt.
An unofficial Nigeria / Super Eagles adidas concept, designed by @neverwrn.
