Bahia's current crest is a weird one, because it does have a flag that resembles the flag of the State of Bahia, but has that weird inception inside a circle in the flag's canton. Bahia did try a correction, with this logo in 2009:

However, the club supporters blame the crest change for a series of losses in the série B and the new crest with the correct flag was abandoned.
